Rosh Hashanah is literally translated as "head of the year" and refers to the Jewish New Year. Jews celebrate this festival with going to synagogues and praying over there and blow the 'shofar', which is a trumpet made from a ram's horn. They take meals which include apples and honey, fish heads, pomegranates, dates, spinach, gourd, black-eyed beans etc. In 2007, Rosh Hashanah falls on the sunset, September 12 to sunset, September 14. On Rosh Hashanah, it's time to celebrate, rejoice and shower your blessings on your loved ones. Send these beautiful Rosh Hashanah wishes to your friends/dear ones/family and usher in a prosperous New Year!
